With the aim of contributing to the development of entreprenuers and businesses in Nigeria using digital as a tool, Lagos Digital Summit was established in 2017 by Mustardels Media and Expoze Nigeria.
In its third year running, the Summit this year held at The Zone Tech Park on Friday 22nd November 2019 with the theme “Leveraging Digital Innovation and Storytelling” featured a host of versatile speakers and facilitators. There were more than 1,000 attendees at the Summit who gained valuable insights from the sessions and the engaging discourse.
The keynote speech at the Summit was delivered by Segun Awosanya, Human right activist and CEO of Aliens Media.
The first panel session of the Summit titled “Effective Utilization of Digital in Entertainment” had Tobi Bakre, MC Lively, Dele Kadiri, Taaooma and Chuey Chu as speakers, with Pelumi Shittu moderating the session.
The second panel session titled “Digital Strategy and effect on Businesses/Governance” had the co-founder of Piggyvest, Joshua Chibueze; Nkemdilim Uwaje Begho; Jubril Gawat, SSA on New Media to Lagos State Governor, and Ayomide Siwoku of Avon HMO. The session was moderated by Frankline Ozekhome.
The third and final panel session titled Digital storytelling – experiences and effect on businesses had Ized Uanikhehi, Muyiwa Aleshinloye, Kayode Abass, Adepoju Bakare. The session was moderated by Peace Itimi.
According to the convener of the Summit, Wale Adetona, “this is part of our contribution to the development of SMEs in Lagos, and Nigeria at large. We appreciate the support received thus far from our partners, volunteers and the atteendees”.
Also commenting on the event, Demola Adetona, creative director at Expoze Nigeria said “We are very happy at the turn out, and looking forward to more collaborations with interested stakeholders to extend the summit to other states of the country”
